Epitheel of dekweefsel is weefsel dat bij mensen en dieren de bekleding vormt van het lichaamsoppervlak, bloedvaten en de verschillende lichaamsholten. Het is met bindweefsel, spiervezel en zenuwweefsel een van de vier basisvormen van lichaamsweefsels van dieren. Epitheel bevat geen bloedvaten.
