WebI just bought Bioshock 1 and it wont start. It just says Preparing to run Bioshock... then nothing happens. I have tried all compatibility setting and I tried entering -nosound and -dx9 into startup settings. I have heard that Force Global Lighting can break the game but I don't know how to disable it. So basicly at Very High / Ultra settings they looks smooth and uniform at High they looks like they do on your screenshot.
